About project

We are pleased to offer you a new adapted version of the newspaper "The Present Truth". This project is a republishing of articles of the newspaper "The Present Truth" and other editions that were published in the second half of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century. The newspaper is devoted not only to the presentation of Scripture in general, but, as its title indicates, to certain great biblical truths of great interest and special relevance at the present time. 
Among these great truths are: 
● Christ is our righteousness; ● chains of prophecy extending to the end of time; ● signs of Christ's imminent return;● proclamation of the time of God's judgement; ● a biblical view of the Sanctuary and the ministry therein; ● the fall of Babylon; ● the resurrection of the dead; ● the return of our Lord on the clouds of heaven; ● the creation of a new world and a new earth; ● the establishment of the eternal kingdom of God;● the eternity, authority, and holiness of God's commandments; ● the faith of Jesus; ● and finally, the preparation of the heart and formation of character necessary to receive the benefit of immortality at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, ● as well as preparation for the end-time events at the coming of the end of the world. 
These great themes are the present truth. 
By present truth, we do not mean any new truth, but truth that has special application at the present time, and that requires special attention on the part of the people of God.
The subjects to which we are drawing attention are of lasting importance and deserve the closest attention and study. God has clearly indicated this. His Word contains abundant evidence to support the doctrines that we bring before you. If it is true that the coming of Christ is at hand, that the last judgement is right before us, and that the world is on the verge of collapse, then it is of the utmost importance that this be made known to every person. If there are those who still do not have the faith of Jesus, and do not keep all the commandments of God in their purity, as commanded in the Bible, then surely it is our duty to raise our voices, and show people the real living Christ, as well as their long habitual sins that hinder their connection with Him. Those who sincerely desire to live with God, to know and do His will, will gladly receive this light. 
This newspaper is not owned or controlled by any individual or religious organisation. Its publication will in no way favour the material interests of anyone. It is published by a community of sincere believers whose sole purpose is to bring as many human souls as possible to the truths of God's Word.
We hope, with God's help, to speak as true Christians; and while we must do so honestly, frankly, and in simplicity of heart, we wish to avoid bitter words. In fighting against error, let it be understood that we do so to warn and save our fellow-men from dreadful consequences. "We are at war with principles, not people." And our aim is not to oppose men, but to save them; therefore we must speak out. Our desire is to save souls for whom Christ gave His Life. This is to be done in God's appointed way,-by proclaiming His TRUTH. We intend to walk in this way as it is revealed in His Word. 
Our only rule of faith is the Bible. In it is our support and our creed. If we do not cite the clear testimony of God's Word to support the doctrines we teach, we are not asking anyone to believe. God did not give the Bible to cloud our minds, but to instruct us in the path of righteousness and life itself. Those who study it will find that it is its own best interpreter. It will be a light on the path to all those who honestly, sincerely, and diligently endeavour to find out what God wants of them.
We invite all to consider with interest and attention the topics that will be raised in this paper. We pray that "The Present Truth" will become an honourable instrument in the hands of the Lord and lead many souls to Christ and a real full life in Him. We also ask you to pray for us...that God will give us His Holy Spirit, without whom this work is impossible. 
Today the newspaper is published in three languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English.
Three issues of the newspaper have already been published with a total circulation of 51 000.
