A literal translation of E. White's book The Desire of Ages

We plan to realize the first most literal translation of E. White's book "The Desire of Ages" from English into Russian, at the same time taking into account the influence of the 1888 vestige on the writing of this book. The purpose of the translation is to familiarize everyone with the true meaning of this book. We wish to eliminate the distorted forms of translation found in this book, which, unfortunately, are contained in today's current version in Russian. These translation problems have arisen, in our estimation, solely because of the translators' ignorance of the Eternal Gospel and Adventist truths. There is a special need at this stage to pray for the realization of this task.
